I've been on my own this week, and I cannot believe all the things that have gone wrong around here.
*That storm that had me running around all night trying to keep everything in the yard from blowing away.
*Trying to read my new book in the dark with no power.
*Something is funky with the pond - I can't keep water in it.
*I've had problems with the plumbing all week
*The alarm system "talking" to me all night,
*The dog freaking out for no apparent reason,
*Having to take care of the neighbor girl because her babysitter left her high and dry.
*The brain-splitting headache due to lack of sleep
*The pounds I'm sure I've gained self-medicating with food.
The family will be home soon - thankfully. I could use a break from my "vacation."
