I took my little girlies shopping today.
I noticed that they could both use some new clothes, and I love to shop for little girls, so off we went.
I let them choose, but I let them know when their wants exceeded my budget. They were done choosing clothes in about 15 minutes - but then they wanted to look at toys.
Millie found one that was on clearance for a dollar, so I told her she could have it - and I told Arilie she could find something for that same amount.
Not so easy for her. We must have looked for a couple of hours. I finally took them up to the clearance table in the front of the store. We had to compromise a bit, but we finally figured something out that they were both happy with.
I picked out an outfit for Ellie so she wouldn't feel left out, but on the way home, I got thinking about the size I got and didn't think it would fit her at all.
We got to the house, and the girls started showing their parents what they got - so I got Eliie's outfit out after all, just so she wouldn't feel slighted. As soon as she saw it, she started stripping her clothes off to try them on. Amazingly enough, they fit her perfectly.
What a great day - I'm going to have to make a tradition of this.
