Another one of those weeks - just skimming the headlines, because I don't really want to get into it...
After grandpa's miraculous spring back to life, he's on his way home today - has even been taken off hospice.
There are. no. words. - everyone just shakes their heads in disbelief.
It will be nice to have him closer to home for hubby's sake, not quite so much running around...
DD is having a hard time adjusting to college life. Oy vey, and I thought I had a hard time keeping her in class during high school...
Give. Me. Strength.
On the home front, I've got three little girls for the weekend.
My son and daughter in law had to have all their belongings out of their apartment on the first, so they are loaded up on the truck and are on their way to Seattle as we speak.
The daughter in law's job transfer went through at the last minute. So glad they won't have to be separated anymore!
Thankfully, my oldest is taking our place moving them up. (Hubby didn't feel he could travel that far with his dad & brother in the condition they are.) Consequently, we are keeping their girls while they make the grueling trip.
Praying for safe travels and happy trails...
Myself, I have been sniffing around for ideas for another story to write. I never thought I would miss doing that, but I do.
Who knew?
I have been reading a book of Irish Fairy Tales that my daughter happened to have, and am finding it rather fascinating.
I've always thought of fairies as being in the form of "Tinkerbell" - all cute, tiny and... moody, but otherwise... nice.
Not so in these tales. They are full size, and seem to live for causing mischief among their human counterparts. They make a habit of switching "changelings" for live persons if misfortune crosses their path, and are very unforgiving of anyone who inadvertently wanders into their "fairy forts."
Locals call them "The Good People," not because they are, but because they are afraid of offending them.
Fun reading - I've found a few short tales that would be fun to play with, but in the meantime, I'm just enjoying reading the book.
I've also been playing with the idea of opening a shop on etsy. Lots of ideas of fun things to sell - and am chomping at the bit to get started... if I can just get this weekend over with. (More on that as things progress.)
Luckily, it's "Onion Days" here in Payson, (founders day type celebration) so there are lots of fun activities we can do with the girls.
...Better go - they are already here.
Happy September!
