July Wrap Up...

July passed in an angry blur - spent all but 5 days of it in Utah, in the hospital recovering, and at home being nursed by my family.
My son brought me back to Nevada on the 17th, and stayed with me through Sunday, when he left to go home.  Monday morning,  the 22nd, we got the call that my husband's mother had passed away.  We threw our belongings into our bags and headed back to Utah, where we stayed until the 30th.

My husband has worked a total of 6 days this month, and I was home for 5.  We're back now, and hoping the traumatic trial period is over, because it will take us months and months to overcome the fears, the financial setback, and the trauma of this period in our lives...

There were a few highlights from the month that were not bad -

I shared my birthday with my precious youngest daughter, who turned 21 this year...

And I attended Scottish Days with my oldest daughter.  We got there early enough to see the parade this year - a first for us.  Lovin' on those bagpipes and kilts...

My mother in law's funeral was lovely, and I think she would have approved.  All of her grand children and great gran's took the stage to sing for her - and the stage was beyond capacity.
To her credit - she knew each child by name, birthday, what their interests were and so much more.

Hoping for healing and peace to her family...

August is here now, and I'm enjoying being back home.  The weather is still hot, but the mornings and evenings are pleasant.  I'm looking forward to experiencing what fall is like down here.
My quails and bunnies still visit me daily, and now bring their families who are growing up quite nicely.  The monsoon rains of July caused my dry sage colored bushes to burst into purple bloom overnight.

I'm feeling much better now, and less fearful of being home alone during the day.  I try to go walking every day, to hopefully stay that way.

Thanks so much to all my family and friends for their love and support, and for keeping me in books to read etc. through this trial.

Love you all,
PT
