April

Hello.

I know it's been a while - sorry I'm neglecting you, dear blog, but you know how it is...
You quietly wait for something to happen, and by the time it does, well, you forget your place.

Ha ha.

Meanwhile, while I was gone, I passed the 10,000 visitors mark!
Whee! *confetti and balloons*  Never mind that it took about 10 years - ha ha.
Thanks for sharing the journey with me  :-)

My daughters came for a last minute surprise visit last week.  Oh, I was so happy to see them!
It was my oldest daughter's birthday, and she and her sister decided to celebrate it with us.
Made me SO so happy :-)

We had all her favorite meals, shopped, and watched some fun movies.

Good times, good times...

My computer is misbehaving, so these are the only photos that will come up - I'll keep trying to get the others, but this is it for now...

Melissa's birthday cake of choice:  strawberry shortcake.

Where the girls go, puppy follows.  (place impending photo here) ...Not really a puppy anymore - probably the world's oldest living dog!  That thing has more lives than a cat.

He is so much at home here, it always surprises me.  I never in a million years would have allowed him up on my new couch, but after such a L-o-n-g absence, I couldn't resist his sad little stares.

He is such a comfort to have around - I took the chance to take him for walks every day, and take snuggles whenever he offered them.  I even considered talking the girls into letting me keep him down here, but when they started packing up to leave on Sunday, he stuck so close to them, and seemed so anxious that they might leave him, I just couldn't do it.  They need him as much as he needs them, how could I break up the set?

Hubby had a meeting in St. Gorge yesterday, so I was on my own again.
The upside when he leaves town is that I usually get left with his truck.
I have not driven much at all down here, and was SO paranoid about it at first, but by the late afternoon, I was cruising down Craig street with the windows down and loving the freedom!

Did some shopping and treated myself to lunch.  Didn't take long at all to burn through the meager amount of cash I had...   >.<

I've been discouraging hubby about buying me a car (who needs the extra debt, right?)  ...But after having a taste of mobility, I may be swayed to reconsider...

Having a quiet day today, going to play with a new project and catch up on some housework that I have been neglecting.

Time is starting to fly...

Later.
