Reunited

...And it feels so good.  Ha ha.

This past weekend was the big High School reunion.  The big 4-0.
I've never been to one before, I figured no one knew I was there then - why go back?
But thanks to the  Facebook page, I've gotten acquainted with people I never had the chance to know back then.

I had so much fun!  It was really good to see everyone who came.  I was told 99 of us showed up!
(I only counted 58 - they must have included spouses...)

The committee had selected another venue, but it fell through, so in desperation they opted for the school.
Go Cavemen!

I'm really glad they did select the school - this coming year will be the last that they use the building as I knew it - it will be torn down and completely reconstructed.  So I'm glad I got to walk those halls one last time.

Mixing and mingling...  Okay - who's got my name tag?

Debbie Neilson (Miller), JoAnn Jeppson (Saunders) and me - JoAnn called us 'the Three Muskateers'

Debbie was my table buddy.  She and I go way back to the growing up years in Highland.
It was so awesome to see her and spend time catching up.

The room the event was held in is the coolest thing ever - it was called the Centennial Cave - and had memorabilia on the walls from all the years since the school was started.
The 70's wall - my decade.

The cake was cute - but not really very good ha ha - whipped cream icing in a 90 degree room?
 Not good.
Here's the lot of us - not a bad turn out for 40 years after the fact.

Guess who got nominated to be on the committee for the next one?

You got it - moi.

I'm excited - Debbie Davis (Finau) is in charge, and she is such a hoot (and a sweetheart.)
It will be lots of fun.  =)

Looking forward to the next one in 2017!
